金可伟 CTO

金可伟在IT、互联网从事企业软件、行业软件、Saas产品开发将近10年,有6年左右的IT团队带领经验。

2005年加入上海梅花信息,从一位码农开始逐步成为团队Leader,经历了梅花信息大多产品转变和研发的过程,包括梅花网的建立、数据类监测产品的完善和重构等,也建立起了梅花的技术研发和运维团队。

2011年中开始投入明道研发,带领团队于2012年初将明道Beta版本上线,直到现在成为国内领先的Saas软件厂商。期间建立了整个研发运维体系,目前专注于研发运维管理改善、产品技术框架方向决策等跟研发相关的工作。

薛宗铭 CPO

2005年~2009年 毕业于河南理工大学

设计工作10年。从平面设计到跨入互联网行业后的UI设计、产品设计。擅长将视觉、交互和功能相结合整体解决产品问题。

2014年加入明道负责UI设计,2016年任设计总监,建设明道的UX团队和设计规范。

2018年任产品总监,和团队完成了明道云APaaS平台的第一个版本。目前专注于产品迭代规划,和用户体验的优化升级。

品牌故事

01 缘起梅花

明道起缘于2008年梅花信息有限公司的一个实验项目,最初目标仅为解决公司内部的沟通与协作问题。后来,历经多次的项目规划、启动、中止、再研究、再开发,直至2011年春节后,团队完成了第一版产品规划,项目正式命名为明道。

项目名取自古语:取势、明道、优术。“取势”代表企业的战略决策能力,“优术”代表企业和员工的专业能力,而“明道”居中则应承启上下,将个人能力通过组织协同发展为企业的能力,并始终围绕战略目标,建立目标导向,最终发展出企业的完整竞争力。

02 志在协作

随后的三年里,明道经过一次次迭代,成为一款基于社会化企业(Social Enterprise)思想的企业SaaS协作软件,不仅实现了最初的项目目标,而且锻造出独特的商业价值。梅花决定将明道商业化,帮助更多企业从根本上解决管理和协作难题,实现开放沟通和扁平协作的价值。

经过整整一年的开发和内部测试,2012年1月7日,明道正式对外公开。

明道一经推出就受到了全国各类企业用户的推崇,明道的注册量持续飙升,付费购买高级版本的用户也越来越多。中国电信、中国人保财险、中国石油、央广联合传媒、北京大学、凯德置地、荣威汽车、易到用车、7天连锁酒店、暴风影音、唯品会、韩都衣舍等知名企业,都陆续成为明道的付费用户。

03 艰难探索

美好的故事总有转折,明道的发展并非一帆风顺。

从2015年开始,协作SaaS市场开始发生根本性变化。钉钉、企业微信和飞书等互联网巨头产品开始用完全免费的商业模式重建了市场秩序。明道未能在这个巨大的冲击下幸免。

2016年起,明道云在客户获取和留存上面临巨大的挑战。2017年底,明道未能找到在原有市场有效差异化的方法。尽管如此,明道的故事没有终止,而是通过大幅度产品转型来探求转机。转型过程并不顺利,明道尝试的人力资源和垂直赛道均未取得成效。

04 重振旗鼓

2018年初始,明道团队尝试打造一款积木式企业软件,允许用户用零代码方式构建企业应用。经过一年多的开发,到2019年5月,明道推出了全新的零代码应用平台——明道云。产品推出后又经历了反复迭代,提升了产品成熟度。2020年3月,明道云推出了基于容器技术的私有部署版,使得明道云得以进入金融、能源、政府等骨干行业。

产品迈上成熟轨道后,明道开始思考可持续的商业模式:应用平台产品需要建立特殊的渠道模式,借助合作伙伴的经验与技术,实现明道云从工具型平台到垂直行业解决方案的产品增值。2020年,明道云伙伴计划启动了。

经过两年多的发展,明道云吸纳超过两百家合作伙伴,并建立起平等、互惠和利客的零代码伙伴生态。凭借伙伴生态优势,明道也实现了业务的重大突破。公司在2020年成功扭亏为盈,在2021年获得新的融资,并建立在APaaS市场的代表性地位,业务发展进入快车道。

05 方兴未艾

从明道到明道云,我们完成了艰难的转型。在这个涅槃重生的过程中,我们强化了对中国企业软件市场的深度认知,增强企业的经营能力,磨砺团队的韧性。明道云看到在企业数字化市场的新机会,那就是用零代码方式来降低企业的数字化建设成本、难度和沟通障碍,促进业务和IT的融合,实现越来越广泛的数字技术民主化。这也是明道云的品牌使命。

明道的故事没有终结,机遇和挑战每天相伴。从事企业生产力工具的设计和开发是明道团队的志向与理想。用户使用产品的每一分收获都是明道继续前行的动力。

Brand Story

01 Originated from MeiHua

Mingdao started as an experimental project in 2008, with the initial goal of solving internal communication and collaboration problems. Later, after many project planning, launching, aborting, re-researching and re-developing, the team completed the first version of the product plan after the Spring Festival of 2011, and the project was formally named Mingdao.

The project name is derived from an ancient phrase: "Seize the momentum, Mingdao, superior technique". "Seize the momentum" symbolizes the strategic decision-making capability of a company, "superior technique" signifies the professional skills of the company and its employees. "Mingdao", positioned in the middle, bridges the gap between the two, transforming individual capabilities into organizational strengths through collaboration. It always revolves around strategic objectives, establishing goal-oriented approaches, ultimately cultivating the company's comprehensive competitive edge.

02 Seek for Collaboration

In the following three years, Mingdao went through one iteration after another and became an enterprise SaaS collaboration software based on the idea of Social Enterprise, which not only achieved the initial project goal, but also forged a unique business value. Plum decided to commercialize Mingdao to help more enterprises fundamentally solve their management and collaboration challenges and realize the value of open communication and flat collaboration.

After a full year of development and internal testing, on 7 January 2012, Mingdao was officially made available to the public.

As soon as Ming Dao was launched, it was highly respected by all kinds of enterprise users across the country, and the number of Ming Dao's registrations continued to soar, with more and more users paying for the premium version. China Telecom, PICC Property and Casualty Insurance, PetroChina, CCTV United Media, Peking University, CapitaLand, Rongwei Automobile, Easy Car, 7 Days Chain Hotel, Storm Video, Vipshop, Hantoo Clothing and other famous enterprises have become the paid users of Mingdao one after another.

03 Hard but Persistent Exploration

A great story will always have unexpected turns, and Mingdao also went through some difficult moments when it was growing.

From 2015, the collaboration SaaS market began to change radically. Internet giant products such as Nail, Enterprise WeChat and Lark started to rebuild the market order with a completely free business model. Mingdao failed to be spared from this huge impact.

Since 2016, Mingdao Cloud has faced significant challenges in customer acquisition and retention. by the end of 2017, Mingdao failed to find a way to effectively differentiate itself in its original market. Nonetheless, instead of ending the story, Mingdao explored a turnaround through a substantial product transformation. The transformation process did not go smoothly, and the HR and vertical tracks that Mingdao tried were not successful.

04 Restructure to Gain Success

Initially in 2018, the Mingdao team attempted to build a building block enterprise software that allowed users to build enterprise applications with zero-code. After more than a year of development, by May 2019, Mingdao launched Mingdao Cloud, a new zero-code application platform. The product launch was followed by repeated iterations to improve product maturity. in March 2020, Ming Dao Cloud launched a private deployment version based on container technology, enabling Ming Dao Cloud to enter backbone industries such as finance, energy, and government.

Once the product reached maturity, Mingdao started contemplating a sustainable business model: the application platform products required the establishment of a unique channel model, leveraging the expertise and technology of partners to transition Mingdao Cloud from a tool-based platform to a solution for vertical industries. In 2020, the Mingdao Cloud Partner Program was initiated.

05 Make Robust Progresses

We have successfully navigated a challenging transition from Mingdao to Mingdao Cloud. This process of rebirth has allowed us to deepen our understanding of the Chinese enterprise software market, enhance our operational capabilities, and foster resilience within our team. Mingdao Cloud identifies a new opportunity in the enterprise digital market - the use of zero-code methods to lower the cost, complexity, and communication obstacles of digital infrastructure development, promoting the integration of business and IT, and broadening the democratization of digital technologies. This aligns with the brand mission of Mingdao Cloud.

There is no end to the story of Ming Dao, opportunities and challenges come together every day. Designing and developing productivity tools for enterprises is the ambition and vision of the Mingdao team. Every single point of user's experience with the product is the driving force for Ming Dao to continue to move forward.
